Obafemi Martins was on target twice for Seattle Sounders in their 4-1 win against Colorado Rapids in an American MLS match played on Sunday. The former Levante star who had openly declared his intentions of playing for the Super Eagles again got a goal in each half of the encounter to ensure his side remains top of the league. Martins opened the scoring in the 28th minute after slotting the ball past Rapids goalkeeper, Clinton Irwin after he was played through on goal by Marco Pappa. With less than 2o minutes to end the game, Obagoal completed his brace with a cool finish with a right-footed strike from close range to take the score to 4-1 in favour of Sounders. With this feat, the Nigerian now boasts of 17 goals this season while his club remains atop the Western Conference log with 60 points from 31 matches.
