Steven Fletcher Defends His new £260,000 Lamborghini Aventador on social media

Steven Fletcher did not do himself and fellow footballers a favour when he posed next to his new £260,000 Lamborghini Aventador on social media hardly dispelling the idea that members of his profession are paid too much.   With Sunderland sitting perilously close to the relegation zone and Fletcher having scored seven goals in two seasons with the club it would hardly be advisable for the 'striker' to pose stood next to one of the world's most expensive cars outside a luxury house but that is exactly what the Scottish forward did.   Unsurprisingly Fletcher received a torrent of abuse for his stupidity of showing off what his none earned wealth had afforded him. But his agent has come out in defence of his client. Talking to the Daily Record agent Scott Fisher took the blame away from Fletcher saying; “It wasn’t Steven that put the picture up. The company who were doing advertising on it done it."
One response to Fletcher's latest car, to go along with the Bentley Continental also seen in the picture, nailed the issue pretty well; “This is where the Sky money goes, into mediocre players’ pockets while lower league clubs can barely afford their academy."   Some might feel that Fletcher is welcome to spend his money how he likes but flaunting it on social media might not be the best life decision, especially when you're hardly amongst the goals.
