TOTTENHAM SUPERSTAR LLORIS SETS HIS SIGHTS ON SYDNEY FC



Sixth-placed Spurs travel to fourth-placed Manchester United on Monday (AEDT) seeking to draw level with the Red Devils on points to step up the pace for a top-four place with 10 Premier League games to go.  Within hours of completing its season against Everton at Goodison Park on 24 May, Mauricio Pochettino’s team will board a plane for Sydney, with tickets for its date with Sydney FC going on sale to fans across Australia and Asia at 1pm (AEDT) on Wednesday amid expectations of a gate in excess of 55,000.  Tottenham goalkeeper Lloris has been one of the cornerstones of Spurs’ staying power in the race with Liverpool, Manchester United, Southampton and Arsenal for a Champions League place with a catalogue of memorable saves further enhancing his reputation this season.  He is relishing facing the Sky Blues on 30 May at the stadium which hosted Juventus in 2014 and Manchester United the year before and was most recently a scene of celebration as Australia overcame Korea Republic 2-1 to lift the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.  “We are all looking really forward to this trip to Sydney,” Lloris said. “We know that we have incredible support on the other side of the world.  "This is a great chance for us to connect with these supporters, particularly as it is the first time in 30 years the club has visited Australia.
