Manchester United 1 - Crystal Palace0:Manchester United Midfielder JuanMata Finally Breaks Crystal PalaceResistance

Juan Mata came off the bench to rescue an unconvincing
Manchester United side as the Spaniard's second-half strike
sealed a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

Burnley 1 Hull City 0:Ashley Barnes’s second-half header ends six-month wait as Turf Moor celebrates first win in the Premier League

It has taken more than six months; one match in the
Championship, another in the Capital One Cup and 10 in the
Premier League to get here.
Turf Moor reacted to Ashley Barnes's second half header with a
category of noise not heard since the same player battered in
the goal that practically sealed their promotion against Wigan
last April.

Liverpool 1 - Chelsea 2:DIEGO COSTA fired Chelsea to victory as they came frombehind against Liverpool at Anfield.

The Spain striker struck beyond Simon Mignolet in the 67th
minute to extend the Blues lead at the top of the Premier
League.
Emre Can scored the opener, with a shot which deflected off
Gary Cahill and left Thibuat Courtois wrong-footed after just
nine minutes.
The Reds' lead was cancelled out by Cahill five minutes later.
Goal-line technology was used with Mignolet unable to stay the
right side of the line from the defender's shot from inside the
six-yard box as Liverpool failed to defend another set piece.
Chelsea then pushed and pushed and pushed but were unable to
break the hosts' resistance until the final 25 minutes.
Costa shot through a sea of bodes after Cesar Azpilicueta
delivered a ball form the left which Mignolet could only palm
out to the striker.
Liverpool were denied a late penalty as Steven Gerrard's shot
cannoned off Cahill with the skipper remonstrating with the
referee Anthony Taylor.
Jose Mourinho's side go seven points clear of Southampton - for
the time being - and 15 clear of Liverpool, all the way back in
seventh.

Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 APOEL

Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 APOEL: Cavani again the difference as French champions go through
Edinson Cavani was once again the difference for Paris Saint-Germain against APOEL as his first-minute goal secure a 1-0 win.  The Ligue 1 champions were missing striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic because of a heel injury, but still had too much for their Cypriot opponents at the Parc des Princes.  This was underlined as early as the first minute when Edinson Cavani collected a Gregory van der Wiel cross in the box before firing in a shot on the turn.  Cavani also planted a header against the base of the post as the home side wasted a host of good chances, but, in the end, one goal was all they required.  The win extends PSG's unbeaten record in all competitions this season and takes them to 10 points from their four Champions League matches in Group F – a total that can only be overtaken by second-placed Barcelona, who beat Ajax 2-0 on Wednesday and host Laurent Blanc's men in the final round of group games on 10 December.

Bayern Munich 2-0 Roma

Bayern Munich 2-0 Roma: Ribery and Gotze seal Group E progress

Goals from Franck Ribery and Mario Gotze sealed Bayern Munich's progress to the last-16 of the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Roma. The German champions made it four wins from as many matches in Europe's premier club competition this season with a convincing performance in the Group E clash at the Allianz Arena.  And while it was a far cry from their 7-1 drubbing of the same opponents in the Italian capital last month, Bayern were rarely troubled.  In the absence of the ill Arjen Robben, Ribery took centre stage and set the early tone when he coolly steered in a 38th-minute opener.  The home side then sealed victory as Gotze converted Robert Lewandowski's smart cross in the 64th minute.  Pep Guardiola's side are guaranteed to finish top of the group, with Roma's progression very much in the balance after CSKA Moscow's surprise 2-1 win at a nine-man Manchester City.  Robben was a late withdrawal due to a stomach bug that left Bayern with just six substitutes, while Francesco Totti and goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis dropped to the bench for the visitors.  De Sanctis was replaced by Poland's Lukasz Skorupski, who made just his seventh appearance for the club, but he had little to do in the early stages as Bayern were restricted to a series of strikes from distance despite dominating possession.  Juan Bernat had a promising effort well blocked by Vasilis Torosidis from inside the penalty area, but Roma, wary of a repeat of last month's thrashing, packed bodies behind the ball and were well organised.  David Alaba's 33rd-minute effort, which bounced just wide, was a warning for Roma, though, and their resistance was finally broken by Ribery soon after.

Athletic Bilbao 0-2 Porto

Athletic Bilbao 0-2 Porto: Martinez and Brahimi send Dragoes into knockout stages
Porto are through to the knockout stages of the Champions League with two games to spare after seeing off Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in Spain. Julen Lopetegui's men produced a fine display at San Mames and, despite missing a penalty and several other opportunities, sealed an impressive Group H triumph.  Jackson Martinez was guilty of wasting numerous chances, missing the target with two excellent opportunities in the first half before striking the bar with a spot-kick three minutes before the interval.  Athletic were seemingly lifted by Martinez's penalty miss as they started the second period with renewed determination, but the Colombian made amends in the 55th minute, netting from close range.  A Guillermo Fernandez header nearly gave the home side an equaliser as the forward's effort hit the post after 69 minutes.  And the visitors capitalised on that near miss shortly after, as Yacine Brahimi pounced on a goalkeeping error by Gorka Iraizoz to net his fourth Champions League goal of the season.  Porto's victory means they stay top of the pool - with Shakhtar two points adrift following their win over BATE - but Athletic's miserable Champions League campaign is now officially over, as they are rooted to the bottom with just one point from four fixtures.  The absence of Athletic's regular frontman Aritz Aduriz with a hamstring injury left a void in their attack, with Porto looking far more comfortable as they deployed a recognised target man in the form of Martinez, who kept the hosts’ defence occupied from the start.  The 28-year-old should have done better in the 13th minute, though, as he pounced on Danilo's wonderful right-wing cross and poked just wide from eight yards after squeezing ahead of Aymeric Laporte.

Manchester City 1-2 CSKA Moscow

Manchester City 1-2 CSKA Moscow: Toure & Fernandinho see red on dismal night for hosts
Seydou Doumbia did the damage as CSKA Moscow claimed a shock win at the Etihad Stadium to send nine-man Manchester City to the bottom of Group E and leave them on the brink of another humiliating Champions League exit.  Doumbia silenced the home crowd two minutes in, escaping the attentions of Yaya Toure to head Natcho's free-kick past a helpless Joe Hart, only for a superb Toure free-kick to haul City level six minutes later.  But a poor clearance from Gael Clichy allowed Natcho to supply Doumbia for a clinical second on 34 minutes, and City's lacklustre attempts to fight back in the second half resulted in red cards for Fernandinho and Toure. The Brazilian was sent off for two bookable offences after coming on at half-time and then Toure was shown a straight red card for inexplicably shoving over Roman Eremenko as the Premier League champions lost the plot.  City were furious that Pontus Wernbloom was not shown a second yellow card in the second half, with Sergei Ignashevich instead booked in what appeared to be a case of mistaken identity.  Doumbia has proved to be City's nemesis, having now scored five goals in his last three games against them and his brace on Wednesday leaves Manuel Pellegrini's side's chances of progressing from Group E looking bleak.  Victory for the Russian champions was their first in England and moved them above City, level on four points with Roma, with two games remaining.  City slump to the bottom with only two points and with Bayern Munich, who qualified on Wednesday, and Roma to play in the final two games they have it all to do, while CSKA will now be eyeing a place in the last 16.  Pellegrini named the same side that started Sunday's derby victory over Manchester United, while Wernbloom and Alan Dzagoev returned to the CSKA starting line-up after serving three-match bans.  The home fans would have been expecting a positive start from City with so much at stake, but they were stunned into silence when CSKA took the lead after only two minutes.  Gael Clichy was harshly penalised for handball and an unmarked Doumbia got on the end of the resulting free-kick from Bibras Natcho with a powerful header as Martin Demichelis and Toure stood and watched.  Toure made amends for that slack defending just six minutes later, when he curled a measured free-kick over the wall and into the net after Stevan Jovetic had been upended just outside the penalty area.  The Russian champions took that setback in their stride and should have been back in front when Dzagoev's incisive pass with the outside of his foot sent Doumbia clear, but the striker fired just wide of the far post from the edge of the area.  Sergio Aguero forced a save from Igor Akinfeev at his near post, but City were vulnerable at the back and they were punished again 34 minutes in when Doumbia struck again.  Clichy's dreadful attempted clearance went straight to Natcho, who picked out Doumbia and he picked his spot to beat Joe Hart with a clinical right-foot finish.  Pellegrini responded to his side's poor first-half display by replacing Jesus Navas and Jovetic with Samir Nasri and Fernandinho.  Akinfeev denied James Milner with his feet just after the hour-mark after Toure had played the England midfielder in, but there remained a lack of urgency from a disjointed City side.  And City's hopes of mounting a fightback looked even more remote when Fernandinho was shown a second yellow card after 69 minutes for blocking Ahmed Musa.  Georgi Milanov almost added a third goal when he curled the resulting free-kick just wide, then Akinfeev raced off his line to thwart Edin Dzeko when the big striker raced clear.  City were baffled when referee Tasos Sidiropoulos failed to show Wernbloom a second yellow card 13 minutes from time pulled back Aguero, but Ignashevich was cautioned.  Toure then let his frustration get the better of him as he pushed Eremenko over nine minutes from time to add insult to injury before Aguero was booked for diving when City wanted a penalty right at the death.

Ajax 0-2 Barcelona

Ajax 0-2 Barcelona: Messi equals Raul's Champions League record

Lionel Messi scored twice to equal Raul's Champions League goals record and send Barcelona through to the knockout stages as they overcame Ajax 2-0 at the Amsterdam Arena. Having been penned back for large spells by an impressive Ajax early on, Barca took the lead through Messi's clever first-half header.  He took full advantage of sloppy play from goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen to close in on the record and, with Paris Saint-Germain playing their part by earning 1-0 win over APOEL, Messi wrapped up the points and a top-two spot in Group F with a second - his 71st in the competition.  His close-range finish after 76 minutes was enough to end any comeback hopes for Ajax - who had Joel Veltman dismissed five minutes earlier - and draw him level with former Spain international Raul.  Frank de Boer's side will now need to tie up third spot and Europa League participation if their continental journey is to continue into 2015, with all eyes now turning to when Messi will break the record, having also overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo in the process.  Barca thought they had taken the lead after three minutes, but saw Neymar's effort disallowed for offside. Ajax looked lively on the break and threatened an opener when Lucas Andersen fired wide following a poor clearance from Dani Alves.  The hosts' wingers - Anwar El Ghazi and Lasse Schone – in particular posed problems early on, while Davy Klaassen forced recalled goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen into a smart stop with his left-footed volley after 26 minutes.  Barca's Jordi Alba was perhaps fortunate to escape punishment when appearing to block El Ghazi's effort with his arm, and the full-back had his side's first shot on target shortly after, but Cillessen was equal to it.  However, Barca took the lead when Cillessen, having kept out Messi's free-kick, raced to the left edge of his area to gather a bouncing ball, only to be beaten to it by the alert Marc Barta.  The Spaniard picked out Messi and the striker climbed well to head an effort past Ricardo van Rhijn on the line.  Luis Enrique's side looked sharper after the interval and Luis Suarez should have doubled the advantage when one-on-one with Cillessen after a clever pass from Messi.  However, the Uruguayan was superbly denied a first Barca goal against the club he made 159 appearances for during three-and-a-half seasons.  Arkadiusz Milik saw his diving header rebound off Ter Stegen's right-hand post shortly after the hour, but Ajax's comeback hopes were dented when Veltman was shown a second yellow card for bringing Messi down, having previously been booked for a foul on Neymar.  The visitors capitalised on their extra man when Messi moved closer to another piece of history, getting on the end of Pedro's cross from the right as Barca provided the perfect answer to back-to-back La Liga defeats.

Maribor 1-1 Chelsea

Maribor 1-1 Chelsea: Hazard misses penalty as Mourinho's men slump to draw

Eden Hazard's missed penalty means Chelsea will have to wait to secure their place in the Champions League knockout stage after a pulsating Champions League draw with Maribor.  The confident Slovenians took a deserved lead five minutes into the second half when Agim Ibraimi curled superbly past Petr Cech, and Luka Zahovic missed a gilt-edged opportunity to double their advantage soon afterward.  Chelsea rallied and Nemanja Matic poked in the equaliser on 73 minutes before Hazard won himself the chance to complete the comeback from the penalty spot, only for Jasmin Handanovic to parry away his tame effort. The Blues headed into the encounter knowing victory could secure their place in the last 16 should Sporting fail to beat Schalke.  However, the Portuguese side had few difficulties brushing aside Roberto Di Matteo's men 4-2 in Lisbon as Chelsea toiled - although the Premier League leaders remain three points clear at the summit of Group G with two games remaining.  Chelsea began strongly and almost took the lead in the eighth minute, Kurt Zouma heading narrowly wide after being picked out by Cesc Fabregas' clever cross.  Didier Drogba, selected in order to give the injury-plagued Diego Costa a rest, was next to threaten when he saw his deflected effort force a good reaction save from Handanovic.  Yet Chelsea were thankful just to be on level terms soon after, Zouma denying Sintayehu Sallallich with a goal-line clearance after Marcos Tavares' superb surging run had opened up their defence.  That prompted a much better spell for the hosts, who were suddenly showing more intent.  Sallalich was looking the most likely to score, forcing a solid save from Petr Cech - in for Thibaut Courtois - with an effort from range.  The visitors came back into the game as the half wore on, the ever-dangerous Hazard forcing Handanovic into a smart stop.  Chelsea would lose momentum after half-time, however, as Maribor took a surprise lead.  Ibraimi grabbed the goal, superbly side-footing beyond a helpless Cech from just outside the area after Zouma's clearing header had inadvertently picked out the winger.  Mourinho had introduced Costa at the interval in an attempt to kick-start his team's performance.  However, the Spain striker struck his first chance wildly over the crossbar as Chelsea failed to find an immediate response.  Chelsea were almost two behind in the 59th minute, Luka Zahovic hitting over with the goal gaping after being picked out by Mitja Viler's excellent cross.  Perhaps awoken by that scare, they roared back impressively with Oscar curling an effort narrowly wide.  And Chelsea got back on level terms in the 73rd minute when Matic tapped in on the line after John Terry had flicked on Oscar's corner.  The London club should have gone ahead not long after, with Hazard denied by Handanovic when one-on-one with the goalkeeper.  And further frustration was to come for Mourinho, as Hazard spurned a golden opportunity from 12 yards after being brought down in the area by Viler.

Borussia Dortmund 4-1 Galatasaray

Borussia Dortmund cruised into the last 16 of the Champions
League with a 4-1 victory over Galatasaray on Tuesday.
Saturday's 2-1 loss at Bayern Munich was a fifth straight
Bundesliga defeat for Jurgen Klopp's side.
However, Dortmund put their domestic problems behind them
by making it four wins from four in Group D following
victories over Arsenal, Anderlecht and a 4-0 romp in Istanbul
two weeks ago.
This was a tighter affair in the opening stages as a strong
contingent of Galatasaray fans helped create a great atmospher
at Signal Iduna Park.
But Dortmund held their nerve as Reus beat the offside trap to
net in the 39th minute and Sokratis Papastathopoulos added a
second soon after half-time.
Hakan Balta briefly got the visitors back in it, only for substitute
Ciro Immobile to put the hosts in control again and a Semih
Kaya own goal compounded Galatasaray's misery.
Galatasaray may also face a Uefa inquest after play twice had to
be halted briefly due to flares and firecrackers being thrown
onto the pitch by the away supporters.
Dortmund were without Mats Hummels, Nuri Sahin, Marian Sar
and Ji Dong-Won through injury, while Oliver Kirch and Jakub
Blaszczykowski were also absent due to a lack of match fitness.
Galatasaray had Aydin Yilmaz sidelined with a foot problem, but
Felipe Melo had sufficiently recovered from a thigh strain to
make the starting line-up and Umut Bulut was preferred to
Burak Yilmaz up front.
The visitors had an early penalty appeal turned down when
Bulut went to ground too easily after making contact with Erik
Durm and Wesley Sneijder's overhead kick was comfortably
saved by Roman Weidenfeller.
Dortmund then went close to breaking the deadlock after 25
minutes when Papastathopoulos headed against the crossbar
from a Reus corner, while Shinji Kagawa was just wide when
curling one in with the outside of his right foot.
The hosts went ahead six minutes before the break, though,
when Lukasz Piszczek's fine through-ball picked out a great run
from Reus in behind the Galatasaray backline and the
playmaker coolly slotted past Fernando Muslera.
Sneijder almost caught Weidenfeller napping with a snapshot at
the start of the second period, but Dortmund were in control
when Galatasaray failed to clear a cross and Sebastian Kehl
headed down for Sokratis to hook the ball home.
The Turkish side pulled one back after 69 minutes when Balta
headed in a Sneijder corner, but Dortmund then broke away
through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his cross was clinicall
chested down and forced past the outrushing goalkeeper by
Immobile.
Aubameyang almost added another for Dortmund on the
counter-attack, but the fourth did come when an Immobile
cross deflected in off Kaya for an own goal.

Real Madrid 1 - Liverpool 0: KARIM BENZEMA scored the only goal as Real Madrid beat Brendan Rodgers' much-changed Liverpool side in the Champions League at the Bernabeu

Rodgers opted to make seven changes to his team meaning first
team regulars Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling, Jordan
Henderson and Mario Balotelli started on the bench.
The hosts began the game at a frenetic pace forcing Liverpool
keeper Simon Mignolet to pull off some smart saves.
Rodgers' side struggled to get hold of the ball but defended in
numbers to contain the threat from Cristiano Ronaldo and co.
It was not long, however, before Karim Benzema - long
rumoured to be a Liverpool target - managed to break the
deadlock.
Isco found Marcelo on the left flank in the 27th minute and his
pinpoint cross found Benzema, who snuck past Kolo Toure to
fire past Mignolet.
Ronaldo nearly doubled the lead before the break but his free-
kick was well saved by the Belgian keeper.
Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti brought on the world's most
expensive player, Gareth Bale, to inject some pace into the
home side and Benzema soon fired over from close range.
Rodgers eventually introduced Gerrard and Sterling in the 69th
minute but the home side continued their dominance and Bale
hit the bar from inside the box.
The Welsh winger had a late free-kick well saved by Mignolet but
the tournament holders ensured their passage to the last 16

Juventus 3-2 Olympiakos: pogba strike save juventus from draw

Juventus came from behind to beat Olympiacos 3-2 and breath
life into their Champions League campaign.
The defending Serie A champions were knocked out of the
competition in the group stages last term and a repeat looked
on the cards just after the hour-mark on Tuesday.
Juve - who had already lost two of three Group A matches -
trailed 2-1 when Delvin N'Dinga headed Giannis Maniatis' cross
in to silence the home fans.
Alberto Botia had earlier levelled for the Greek giants, cancelling
out Andrea Pirlo's free-kick in his 100th appearance in Europe's
premier club competition.
But Juve produced a spirited comeback as Roberto's
unfortunate 65th-minute own goal was followed by Paul
Pogba's winner a minute later.
Arturo Vidal's failure to score a late penalty meant Massimiliano
Allegri's side remain third in the group, behind Olympiacos by
virtue of the Greek side's two goals at Juventus Stadium,
while both sit three points adrift of leaders Atletico Madrid - wh
won 2-0 at Malmo.
Juve were brighter in the opening stages, but were limited to
efforts from distance - Claudio Marchisio with the best
opportunity as his fizzing strike was smartly palmed over by
Roberto.
It was a strike from outside the box that gave the hosts the lead,
though, as Pirlo netted his second free-kick in four days.
The 35-year-old - who opened the scoring from a set-piece for
Juve in their 2-0 win at Empoli on Saturday - curled into the top-
left corner from 25 yards in trademark fashion in the 21st
minute.
But Olympiacos quickly drew level after Gianluigi Buffon turned
an Ibrahim Afellay cross behind for a corner instead of catching
it - something he could have done comfortably.
Buffon's unorthodox piece of goalkeeping cost Juve as Botia
beat Giorgio Chiellini and saw his glancing header hit the net
from Alejandro Dominguez's corner.
Juve could have gone ahead again from another Pirlo free-kick,
but Leonardo Bonucci headed over, and while the visitors
remained a threat on the counter-attack, the chances kept
coming for Allegri's men.
Alvaro Morata first poked wide of the onrushing Roberto before
Marchisio somehow missed the target from close range after
Kwadwo Asamoah's excellent cross from the left.
Juve turned the screw after the break but Vidal's attempted
square for a free Carlos Tevez was blocked, while the Chilean
also nodded wide.
Olympiacos then took the lead in the 61st minute as a
Dominguez free-kick was hooked back into the box by captain
Maniatis, with N'Dinga reacting quickest to direct it into the top
right corner.
The goal could have floored Juve, but they showed impressive
resolve and drew level when Botia's inadvertent flick-on hit
Llorente, and the ball ricocheted off the post and in via the
unwitting Roberto's back.
Pogba then crowned his 100th Juventus appearance with his
first Champions League goal as his attempted back-heel hit Botia
and came back to him, the Frenchman lashing home from the
edge of the penalty area.
Llorente - who made a significant contribution off the bench -
had a header blocked before Tevez turned wide, while the
Spaniard also fired over in the closing stages.
Vidal had the chance to add gloss to the scoreline in the 95th
minute, after Tevez was brought down in the area, but saw his
penalty superbly kept out by Roberto. Three goals proved
enough for Juve, though, as they claimed an important victory.

Benfica 1-0 Monaco: Talisca late goal gave benfica the massive three point.

Benfica kept their hopes of reaching the Champions League last
16 alive with a late Talisca strike proving enough to beat
Monaco.
Needing to avoid defeat to have any chance of making it out of
Group C, Jorge Jesus' side had to wait until the 82nd minute in
Lisbon before the young striker lashed home a left-wing corner.
Under Leonardo Jardim, back in Portugal for the first time since
leaving Sporting Lisbon, Monaco created several chances but
were repeatedly denied by home goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
A draw would have suited the principality club but they were
denied by Talisca's first goal in the competition.
The win sees Benfica move level with Zenit St Petersburg on four
points, just one behind second-placed Monaco with two
matches remaining.
Jardel, replacing the suspended Lisandro Lopez, was one of four
changes for the hosts from the sides' meeting two weeks ago,
and they made a positive start to proceedings.
Nicolas Gaitan was first to test Danijel Subasic with a low shot
after a mazy run and a minute later Eduardo Salvio dragged an
effort wide of the Monaco goal.
Monaco, who gave Lacina Traore his first start in the Champions
League in place of the injured Dimitar Berbatov, found
themselves on the back foot for large parts of the first half, but
were grateful that Benfica's finishing lacked accuracy.
Eventually the visitors came into the game but they too were
wasteful.
A 37th-minute Joao Moutinho corner was only cleared as far as
Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, but the Belgian volleyed well over the
crossbar from the edge of the penalty area.
Gaitan had the best opening of the half as the interval beckoned,
but, having found space inside the penalty area, his effort from
12 yards was superbly deflected over his own crossbar by
Andrea Raggi.
Talisca, who had scored eight in his last nine Benfica matches,
then went close but his powerful shot on 51 minutes was
pushed away by Subasic.
As the hour approached Monaco began to pressurise the Benfic
goal, and they would have been ahead had Cesar not made a
fine save to deny Ferreira-Carrasco before Luisao bravely
blocked Traore as the Ivorian burst clear.
With the game becoming stretched in the closing 15 minutes
both sides found themselves in good positions, and from a late
Benfica corner the breakthrough finally came.
Gaitan's corner was flicked on by Derley and Talisca benefited
with a low finish under the body of Subasic from inside the six-
yard box.

Arsenal 3 - Anderlecht 3: ARSENAL missed the chance to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League for the 17th time in a row after throwing away a three goal lead at the Emirates.

The hosts immediately took the game to the game to the
Belgians, and piled the pressure on the visitors.
And the early onslaught payed off in the 24th minute when
Chancel Mbemba clumsily brought down Danny Welbeck in the
box and handed the Gunners an early opportunity to take the
lead.
Club captain Mikel Arteta stepped up to take spot-kick and cooly
fired the home-side into a much deserved lead.
Arsene Wenger's men continued to turn up the heat on Belgian
champions, and doubled their lead four minutes later through
Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners continued to flex their muscles throughout the
first-half but failed to extend their lead.
But they added a third in the 58th minute when good pressure
from Sanchez led to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain being put through
on Proto's goal.
Anderlecht pulled a goal back two minutes after Oxlade-
Chamberlain's strike through former Portsmouth star Anthony
Vanden Borre to give their supporters hope of an unlikely
comeback.
12 minutes later the visitors further reduced the deficit after a
clumsy foul from Nacho Monreal lead to another penalty, which
Vanden Borre calmly dispatched to make the last quarter of an
hour a nervy one for the Gunners.
And the nerves got to weakend defensive in the 90th minute
when Aleksandar Mitrovic got on the end of a cross from Andy
Najar to earn the Belgians an unlikely draw.

Granada 0-4 Real madrid:james scored two wonderful goals to give madrid the victory.

A wonder goal from James Rodriguez helped Real Madrid to
another impressive La Liga victory as they saw off Granada 4-0
on Saturday.
A brilliant start saw Cristiano Ronaldo give the European
champions the lead, slotting home after just two minutes, and
James added a second with a vicious volley 15 minutes before
the break.
Karim Benzema added a third shortly after half-time, coolly
poking his effort home following Ronaldo's flick.
Marcelo was denied by the crossbar four minutes later, before
James took advantage of a defensive mix-up to poke home a
fourth and double his tally as Carlo Ancelotti's side followed up
last weekend's Clasico triumph in style.
The result represents Real's 11th consecutive win in all
competitions, while condemning a toothless Granada to their
fifth defeat in six games.
The visitors, who named an unchanged side from the the
convincing win over Barcelona, did not take long to assert their
authority in Andalucia, with Ronaldo opening the scoring early
on.
Some good work down the right saw Daniel Carvajal dispossess
Dimitri Foulquier, which allowed Benzema to cut back to the
Portugal international inside the area and he marked the 700th
match of his career with his 22nd goal of the season.Granada
came into the game having mustered just one win in their last
eight matches and posed little threat to Ancelotti's men, who
continued to press.
A wonderful clipped ball from Isco allowed Benzema to force a
smart save from Roberto in the 23rd minute, before Carvajal
blazed his shot over the bar from six yards following Ronaldo's
brilliant backheeled pass.
But the lead was doubled just after the half hour, when a superb
sweeping move saw Benzema tee the ball up for James inside
the area and the Colombian smashed an unstoppable first-time
volley into the top corner.
Real's dominance continued in the second half, and they were
celebrating a third just nine minutes after the restart, Ronaldo
finding Benzema with another audacious backheel, allowing th
Frenchman to beat the offside trap and prod his effort past
Roberto.
Granada's goalkeeper was once again a spectator two minutes
later and had the crossbar to thank as Marcelo's 25-yard effort
was denied.
The home side continued to struggle, but went close to pulling a
goal back after 65 minutes.
Substitute Ruben Rochina fired over with an acrobatic volley,
before a whipped cross from Juan Carlos was headed over by
Abdoul Sissoko.
Fellow sub Javier Marquez should have done better six minutes
from time, but was denied by an onrushing Iker Casillas, before
Sergio Ramos hooked another effort off the line.
James wrapped up the win three minutes later by scrambling
home at the far post after Ronaldo failed to connect properly
with Arbeloa's cut-back, capping off a routine afternoon for
Ancelotti's charges.

Chelsea 2 - QPR 1:Eden hazard scored the last goal that gave chelsea the victory

Chelsea needed a late Eden Hazard penalty to maintain their
unblemished home record in the Premier League as the leaders
beat QPR 2-1.
Charlie Austin's second-half equaliser had looked set to deny
Jose Mourinho's side a fifth consecutive league win at Stamford
Bridge after Oscar had opened the scoring.
However, after Hazard was clumsily bundled over by Eduardo
Vargas, the Belgian stroked home the winner to maintain
Chelsea's four-point lead at the summit.
Austin backheeled home just after the hour to cancel out
Oscar's opener as the in-form QPR striker seemed set to be the
hero for the Loftus Road outfit.
With an under-par Chelsea on course to drop points for the
second league game running, Vargas collided with Hazard just
inside the area with referee Mike Jones pointing to the spot.
Hazard then had the final say 15 minutes from time as he
tucked away the penalty to ensure Chelsea clinched maximum
points and deny Harry Redknapp what would have been an
impressive draw.
Chelsea began well and forced a series of corners early on, with
leading scorer Diego Costa - back in the starting XI after a four-
game absence due to a combination of injury and illness -
almost getting on the end of Cesc Fabregas' long ball four
minutes in.
Oscar saw a shot roll wide of Rob Green's left-hand post soon
after before Branislav Ivanovic found the side-netting from
Willian's delivery.
QPR – whose one change saw Junior Hoilett replace Bobby
Zamora – produced their first effort on goal via the in-form
Austin, whose header looped over the crossbar 15 minutes in.
While it was a rare foray into the Chelsea half, Redknapp's side
had done well to stifle the hosts and initially deny the likes of
Oscar, Willian and Hazard space to create openings.
However, after Fabregas' long-range strike tested Green from
distance, Oscar opened the deadlock after 32 minutes courtesy
of a sublime finish with the outside of the boot.
Played in down the right by Fabregas, the Brazil international
found the bottom-left corner via the inside of the post to send
Chelsea in ahead at the break.
Hazard almost doubled Chelsea's advantage early in the second
half but failed to make contact with Willian's inviting cross as
Redknapp opted to bring on Zamora for Hoilett just short of the
hour mark.
Within two minutes of the change, QPR were level thanks
to Austin's fifth Premier League goal of the season.
Following a swift counter from Vargas, Austin was able
to cleverly divert Leroy Fer's strike past a helpless Thibaut
Courtois.
Mourinho then opted for an attacking change as Didier Drogba
replaced Willian, but it was the ever-dangerous Hazard who was
the match-winner.
Having been brought down by Vargas, the Belgium international
sent Green the wrong way from the spot to get Chelsea back
to winning ways in the league after their 1-1 draw at Old
Trafford last time out.

Chelsea manager criticises his own supporters saying he finds
their lack of noise 'frustrating' and says they make it difficult for
his players
Jose Mourinho has criticised the lack of atmosphere at
Stamford Bridge by saying it feels like Chelsea are playing their
home games in an "empty stadium".
The Premier League leaders laboured to a 2-1 victory over
Queens Park Rangers and afterwards Mourinho launched an
attack of the lack of noise generated by his fans.
He described their lack of passion as "frustrating" and said it
makes things "difficult" for his players.
"Everyone knows how much I feel connected to this club and
the fans," he told talkSPORT.
"At this moment it's difficult for us to play at home though,
because playing here is like playing in an empty stadium.
"The team then starts playing like it's a quiet, soft game at home.
It's difficult to get that strong start where the players, team and
fans at Stamford Bridge [are all together].
"I was today looking around and it was empty, but not in terms
of people because it was obviously full. That's what frustrating."

Arsenal 3 Burnley 0:super sanchaz scored twice to continue his impressive start of the season

Alexis Sanchez continued his fine run of form for Arsenal as
Arsene Wenger's side put in an impressive second-half display
against Burnley to win 3-0 at the Emirates on Saturday
afternoon.
The Gunners had failed to collect a Premier League win on their
own turf since the opening day against Crystal Palace and they
appeared set for another afternoon of frustration against the
bottom side in the division.
Burnley winger George Boyd was fortunate not to concede a
penalty before half-time, while Alexis – who scored both goals in
the 2-0 triumph at Sunderland - drew two fine saves from Tom
Heaton.
But it was the former Barcelona man who sparked relief around
the Emirates Stadium in the 70th minute.
Impressive right-back Calum Chambers crossed for Alexis to
score with a header, and the teenager added a second himself
two minutes later with his first goal in senior football.
Alexis fashioned space from Kieran Gibbs' low centre to net a
10th goal in 12 appearances in the final minute and add gloss to
the scoreline, as Arsenal moved above West Ham into fourth,
while Burnley are three points adrift at the bottom and five fro
safety.
Arsenal were unchanged from the team that beat Sunderland
last weekend, while Burnley recalled midfielder Dean Marney
following a hamstring injury and striker Marvin Sordell.
The hosts dominated possession but made little impression on
Burnley until Kieran Tripper produced a vital clearing header to
deny Danny Welbeck in the 21st minute after Alex Oxlade-
Chamberlain had raced away down the Burnley left.
From the resulting corner, Boyd – already booked for an earlier
foul on Santi Cazorla - flicked the ball with a stray hand but the
officials remained unmoved.
Arsenal found a way through down the right again in the 26th
minute, but Cazorla smashed a shot wide from Oxlade-
Chamberlain's pullback after good work from Alexis.
The visitors enjoyed a rare foray into the opposition penalty
area five minutes later, only for Mathieu Flamini to make an
important interception by prodding Scott Arfield's pass away
from Danny Ings.
Alexis then twice went close, first cutting in from the left and
forcing Heaton to push away his rasping drive before arching
another 25-yard effort narrowly past the right-hand post.
Heaton proved Alexis' equal once more when the livewire
forward raced into the box five minutes before the interval, as
Burnley managed to reach the break unscathed.
Ings was unable to capitalise on a moment of confusion
between Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and Per
Mertesacker in the 50th minute as Sean Dyche's men made a
more assertive start to the second period.
The right flank remained fruitful for Arsenal but Alexis and Gibb
were unable to scramble the ball home from Oxlade-
Chamberlain's latest cross.
Michael Duff produced some remarkable defensive heroics for
the visitors as he flung himself to ground to deny Cazorla with
the goal gaping after Chambers' cutback.
The pressure eventually told, though - almost inevitably from
the Burnley left - as Alexis got ahead of Trippier to net a fine
header from Chambers' cross.
The creator then became the goalscorer two minutes later, with
Chambers on hand to steer home after a combination of
Heaton and David Jones had denied Welbeck.
The Arsenal faithful warmly welcomed back Theo Walcott from
his lengthy injury absence soon afterwards and the England ma
and fellow substitute Lukas Podolski drew magnificent saves
from Heaton in the closing minutes as Burnley's resistance
faded, allowing Alexis to have the final word with a third goal.

Swiss player Ricardo Ferreira slapped with 50-YEAR ban for kicking ball at referee's face

An amateur player in Switzerland will have to
wait until he is 78 before being allowed to play
football – after being handed a 50-year ban for
losing his cool and kicking a ball at a referee's
face in a post-match altercation.
Ricardo Ferreira was slapped with the huge
suspension after he was found to have insulted
the official following his team, Portugal FC's 1-0
loss to SC Worb, even though he didn't feature
in the match.
After belting a ball at the referee's face, Swiss
newspaper Blick revealed that Ferreira then
squirted water on the official's face – earning
the player a half-century ban from the
Swiss amateur football league.
Despite admitting that he expected to be
banned from football, Ferreira – who has
previously missed 45 games with suspension
for other incidents – expressed his shock at the
punishment handed to him.
'I had expected one or two years maximum. But
50 years? Football's my life,' he said.
Speaking about the ban given to the 28-year-
old, lawyer to Switzerland's amateur football
league Robert Breiter said: 'We do not want
such a player in our league.
'Unfortunately we encounter such cases about
once a year.'
