Lagos - Nigeria head coach Stephen Keshi has
ruled out the possibility of calling up Manchester
City wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho to the Super
Eagles squad.
The 17-year-old won many admirers during the
Citizens' pre-season tour of the USA and has since
been linked with a loan move to the MLS in
January.
There have been calls for the Under-20
international to be considered for the creative role
in the Super Eagles team, but Keshi has insisted
that the youngster is not ready.
"Iheanacho hasn't been playing in the premier
league and it simply tells you that Manchester City
wants him to get more experience," the Eagles
boss is quoted as saying by Vanguard.
"He is not part of the team (City) at the moment
and he has to get more experience and maybe see
if he has what it takes to be there."
