REAL MADRID star Sami Khedira has rejected the chance to join Chelsea and will instead link up with Arsenal, according to reports.
The Germany international is on the fringes at the Santiago Bernabeu, and after rejecting a new deal from Carlo Ancelotti, is set to be on the move come January.
Khedira has found himself sidelined this season following the arrival of Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich, and is desperate to find first-team football elsewhere.
Jose Mourinho was keen to be reunited with his former player, but according to the Daily Star, Khedira has shunned a move to Stamford Bridge after agreeing personal terms with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
However, the north London outfit are yet to strike a fee with Real, but are confident a bid of around £10million will be accepted to secure Khedira's signature
