West Ham 2-0 QPR

West Ham 2-0 QPR: Sakho on target again for the Hammers

QPR remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table after being beaten 2-0 by West Ham at Upton Park.  Sam Allardyce's side took an early lead when Nedum Onuoha diverted a cross from Stewart Downing into his own net, though the Rs argued that Enner Valencia had handballed as the delivery dropped into the box.  The away team had little to offer, however, by way of a riposte and West Ham doubled their advantage shortly after the break. James Tomkins's attempted shot looped over the head of goalkeeper Robert Green for Diafra Sakho to bury his fifth goal for the club.  QPR went into the match having lost all three Premier League games on the road since gaining promotion back to the top flight and it was not hard to see why as they struggled to make any impression up front.
